Semi-Synthetic Cutting and Grinding Coolant
E-1 is a general purpose, emulsifiable cutting and grinding fluid for use on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including sintered materials and ceramics. E-1 emulsifies readily in water to produce a microemulsion. This allows for a very stable coolant with excellent penetration at the point of contact between the tool and work piece.

Use:
Recommended use levels for E-1 are dependent on application. Use 1-2% for grinding, 2-4% for machining, and up to 10% for sawing, threading, or tapping. When first using E-1 it is important to disinfect the entire coolant system. We suggest washing with 5% sodium hypochlorite (laundry bleach) followed by sludge removal and finally a wash down with clean water.
