Synthetic Water-Based Lapping Vehicle
Prolap 19 is a highly concentrated, water-soluble abrasive carrier vehicle designed for fast lapping of most ferrous and non-ferrous* metals, ceramics, glass, and plastics. Prolap 19 is formulated as a non-suspension vehicle but has excellent abrasive carrying characteristics to promote uniform deposition on the lapping machine. Prolap 19 has also been formulated for easy water clean-up.
*For the lapping of reactive metals such as aluminum, Prolap W-2 should be used to minimize the potential for hazardous outgassing.

Application:
Prepare slurry by adding desired abrasive to PROLAP 19 and mixing until homogenous. The slurry must be circulated or mixed during use to prevent settling of the abrasive. If desired the slurry may be thinned with up to 10 parts water.
